Letters of Appreciation 2004

Cyndy and Todd Milam

To the staff and family of Majestic Ranch,
Eight months ago I arrived at your doorstep frightened, sad, and desperate.  You welcomed me with a firm handshake, a welcoming smile and a strong presence that gave me the strength to give you my son.  I was prepared to turn right back around and take him home if I had seen one look of fear on another child's face.  If I had seen one thing on the ranch that looked out of place or unclean that should have been clean.  But I saw eagerness and respect in every pair of young eyes I met.  I saw a facility that was cleaner than my own home, and I knew in my heart that Chris would be in good, strong hands.
Our first family rep was very nice, and she left me each week with valuable information about Christopher's choices.  But I really feel that God was watching over Chris when Vinnie took over as our family rep.  Vinne has become a member of my heart family simply because the genuine compassion, respect, and love he feels for my son comes through every phone call.  Christopher has blossomed under the warmth of Vinnie's unwavering acceptance and care.  I have had the pleasure of listening a little to their interactions over the phone and the open acceptance, affection, and ease the two have with each other is a blessing in my life I can never repay.
Wayne, your willingness to sit with me all day if necessary until I was out of questions and out of reasons to keep holding on was also a gift I'll never be able to repay.  Your booming voice is offset only by the warmth I saw in your eyes--the compassion there--but most of all the steel I saw there too.  And I knew you would treat my son with all those aspects of yourself--and he would bloom.
Tammy, I only know you through what Vinnie has told me of you and your observations of Chris.  But from that, I can only say thank you for bringing your gifts of discernment and compassion to the Ranch.  When a family rep says how wonderful you are to work for, and how much truth and ability you show everyday, I know Chris is in safe hands.
To all the rest of the staff, thank you too, for all you give of yourself.  I know it cannot be easy.  They say it takes a village to raise a child.  Thank you, Majestic Ranch, for being the village that is saving my son.
Cyndy Milam

Mary and Tuck Blackstone

Dear Majestic Ranch Family,
My husband has a 13-year-old boy in your fine facility.
We have completed Discovery and Focus finding both programs to be very eye opening and extremely uplifting.
We all know it was very hard to send our children away for someone else to love and care for.  However, I am so very thankful that Majestic Ranch is available for families that need assistance.
From the bottom of our hearts thank you for helping our son and allowing our family to look forward to happy days again!
Love,
Tuck and Mary Blackstone

Jim and Diane Sommars

To the Staff at Majestic Ranch
Just a note to express our appreciation.  We are the grandparents of Rachel Zoch, and we are just about to go into the last day of Focus.
We know Rachel is a handful, and we are thrilled with the progress she seems to be making.  We know it can't be easy for you, and when we experience something like Focus, it really gives us hope.
When Rachel came to you, she had many issues; and it wasn't going well.  From all indications we believe that Rachel will grow up to be a credit to her community.  Thank you so much.
Sincerely,
Jeanne and Jim Sommars

Mark and Liz Smith

Dear Majestic Ranch Staff,
We want to express our appreciation to Gabe, Ronnie, Wayne, Tammy and all of the other Majestic Ranch staff members.  Dropping off a ten-year-old boy who was so angry and hurt that he stated he would rather live there than home has to be one of the most painful memories of our lives.  The tears and fear that that period of our lives brings to mind was overwhelming.  At that point we had to put our trust and faith in your hands.  It has now been 7 months and although the pain is still within us, to hear our son Dylan tell us on the phone and in letters that he needs a hug and that he loves us has been so reassuring.  Knowing he is getting the help and guidance we were unable to provide has given us a peace and joy that we find hard to describe.  From the bottom of our hearts we want to thank you for caring for and loving our son Dylan.

I am so grateful for all of you and for what you do at the Ranch.  What a blessing it is to know that my daughter, Rachel Zoch, is in the hands of people who truly care and love her.  I am constantly praising all of you for your 110% effort and commitment you have for my child and y our program.  I never have any doubts about Rachel's safety, her progress or her well being.  You have truly succeeded in making our family feel secure in that Rachel will become the young woman God has intended her to be and she is definitely in the right place!
I love you all and thank you from all of my heart.

Dear Faculty and Staff of Majestic Ranch,
Thank you so much for being there for our family when we needed help!  We appreciate your commitment to helping Zach in his journey.  We were at the end of our rope when we turned  to you for help.  We are in a process now--one that never ends.  Our gratitude is limitless!  We pray for your success with our son every day.  He needs completion in his life.  [We are] positive he will find it at Majestic Ranch.

Michelle Bocook

To the facility staff at Majestic Ranch
I am writing this letter to express my appreciation to all of you.  Seven months ago I gave up on my son.  I had no other place to turn other than the legal system.  I decided Februrary 9, 2004, to send my son to your facility.  That day was the second hardest day of my life.  The first day I actually sent him was the hardest.
I want to take this time to commend each and every one of you.  All of you have dedicated yourselves to our children.  I appreciate the time, love, and devotion you give these kids.  I understand now your compassion you give each and every day you spend with these kids and the devotion to helping change these children's lives.  In my eyes you are truly the heroes.  Thank you so much for choosing to love and cherish these kids.
Sincerely,
Michelle Bocook

Dear Owners and Staff of Majestic Ranch,
I have just completed FOCUS in NJ and my life is forever changed because of it.
In April, I handed over my most prized possession, my son Neal.  I placed in your hands my baby, and drove away knowing he would be safe with you.
I feel afraid about a lot of things.  One thing I am no longer afraid for is Neal.  I know he is safe with you and that every day, in every way, you strive to move him toward greatness.
Your efforts, along with those of Premier Education are not only instrumental in saving my son, but also us, his family.
I tell everyone who will listen about your program, for everyone knows someone who is losing their child.
Thank you for your efforts.  We are grateful that our child is safe in your care.

Shawn and Gregg Elliott

Dear Majestic Ranch,
We would like to take this moment to thank you for being a beacon of light when we were in our darkest moment in our family life.  We appreciate your service to the younger kids who need help in their life where we couldn't get it done.  If you weren't there, I'm not sure where we would be today as a family.
We want to thank all the workers for their dedication to change lives and the hard work and patience that takes.
We want to especially thank Tori for the weekly phone calls and the fact that she always tries to find a positive to report on even when it seems like there is nothing positive our daughter is doing.  She continually provides us hope and keeps us going from week to week.

Dear Staff of Majestic Ranch,
I am the sister of Kevin Saunders.  I am 21 years older than Kevin and I know what a challenge that he can be.  I commend you for working with him daily.  I pray that he learns from you in the same way that I have been learning from the Discovery and Focus Seminars.  I so hope that Kevin will get his butt in gear and work his program.  I will never give up on him.  I know he can do this.  Thank you for being there for Kevin and doing your job the best!  If you could please tell Kevin that his sister Sarah loves him and wants him home.  Please give him a big hug from me.  Thank you again for your service.

The Staff of Majestic Ranch:
I can't express enough as a father of a 12 year old who felt lost and confused when my child went out of control.  How much this means to me--your efforts, your system that you have in place, the staff in giving 100% are truly amazing.  I want to thank the two family reps that Vincent has had to date.  Your feedback and understanding of the situation has made us comfortable in the decision we made of sending Vincent to Majestic Ranch.

Troy and Michelle Pocock

After finding this program, I believe my life can now be completed more easily.  I am very thankful for every single one of you. Without your guidance, I’m not sure what I would have done with myself in the future.  But now my direction seems much clearer to me.  I also believe my wife has found herself and for that I am grateful.  I can only pray that my son will open his eyes, put down his walls, and look at what he is being told.  Again thank you for being there for my family and myself because without you, I had a lot of chaos to look forward to and now it will be a lot smoother sailing for myself and everyone around me.  Thank you.

Dear Staff,
I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation for all that you do for my son and my family. In the entire time he has been there, he has never said a negative thing regarding any of you.  What that expresses to me is during the most difficult time in his entire life,  you are all a positive force in his eyes.
My wife and I are deeply committed to the program and also committed to making sure that your efforts will not be wasted.
    Thank you for everything.

Dear Majestic Ranch:
I knew as soon as we arrived that my son, Clayton, was in the right place.  Our life at home was not working and we didn’t know what to do. We were so afraid that Clay would be lost to us.  We needed someone to show us the way back to being a loving and caring and functioning family.  You were there, opening up your arms to us and we trusted that you would provide a safe environment for our son.
Over the past 3½ months we attended Discovery and Focus and we are looking forward to experiencing keys. I can’t tell you enough how much we appreciate the opportunity to experience these seminars.  They’ve taught us so much about ourselves and about how we can truly become a loving and caring family.  Thank you for showing us how to find a working way.
Sincerely,
Peggy Robinson

Peter and Patricia Rosada

To:  Ms. Tory Jones and All Training Staff at the Majestic Ranch

We the parents of Krystal Rosado would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one for all the help and support you are giving our daughter during this hard journey.  At the very beginning, almost three months ago, we really didn’t have an idea of how hard it is to deal with so many issues.  We have attended both the Discovery and Focus Seminar and are proud to say that we graduated from both with Great Honor and are happy to say that we learned a lot from the seminars.  Needless to say, the knowledge we gain will help us in dealing with the problems our child has.  It is really hard work but is worth the pain.  Our attitude towards each other has changed.  The knowledge we received will stay with us forever.

Once again we would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Sincerely,

Peter and Patricia Rosado

Dear Majestic Ranch (Staff, office people, cleaners, kitchen help, maintenance, family rep., teachers, owners)

Your purpose is to help my child and other children who need extra special help because they cannot cope with life.  Thank you for your kindness, knowledge, patience, understanding, and tolerance.  All of you at Majestic Ranch are needed and wanted because you see, we, the parents, cannot raise our children by ourselves—we need help.  We are getting help through Premier education with its awesome program, feedback, and follow thru.  Do not stop!  Keep up what you do, change with the times, adjust accordingly, and remain the devoted, focused facility that you are.

Thank you for taking care of my son, Vincent.

Dear Majestic Ranch Staff,
I want to thank you for everything you do for our family.  You are helping my daughter, Jessica, to become a whole and healthy young woman.  It is because of the giving of yourselves that she has learned so very much about the beautiful person she is within.  She is learning, with your support and encouragement, how to become a responsible person and to be accountable for her choices.  Thank you again.   There really is a light at the end of the tunnel because of your help and the commitment you have made to my family.

Barbara Melnik

Dear Majestic Ranch Staff,
I would like to thank you all for the immense efforts and time you put in taking care of my son Ryan.  I realize that there are many people there working toward the same goal, especially many “unseen” staff such as the house leaders with the long hours and unenviable hours, and the cook, who let Ryan go into the kitchen and designate two plates for himself so that he could follow dietary laws of our religion.  Thank you to the teacher who has taught Ryan that he can write straight on the lines and legibly (not teeny-weeny like he did previously) and can write pages and pages to one letter.  This includes the Ranch staff, teaching Ryan, undoubtedly, many farm chores and animal husbandry, all the while teaching him about life and what it takes to maintain and sustain life and giving to others without the expectation of receiving anything in return.  Each has his or her own part in assembling this puzzle and when it will be completed due to the dedication and determination you are showing.
Sincerely,
Barbara Melnik

Dear Sir or Madam

My son Ryan Melnik has been at your facility 2½ months.  I must commend you on the good job you are making to change my son’s life.

We know the difficulty that you encounter because we had one Ryan and you have 50 like him at your facility.

I am surprised at the change in his attitude—something we tried to do for a long time with no results.

However, since the process is going on, I wait to see the finished results.  I know they will be good—I just want to know how good.

You efforts are appreciated by all of Ryan’s family.

Dear Majestic Ranch Staff,

I wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for you taking care of Chase.  You are doing an excellent job at something that I was unable to do on my own.  Since Chase has been there, his writing skills have improved, his schoolwork, and most importantly how he feels about himself.  I am truly grateful to you for helping me make Chase into a person that he can be proud of.  Thank you for all you do!

Sincerely,

Dear Staff at Majestic Ranch,

I just attended my focus seminar.  I really received a lot of eye-opening experiences.  Over these past few days, I lived partially like my son does at your school.  I would like to commend you on all the hard work, patience, and strength it takes to do your job.  I have a lot of respect for all of you.  I am very fortunate to have found this school and its program.  I believe that it has saved my son’s life and in turn mine.  New doors are opening for me as a result of my experiences.  Keep up the great job!  Thank you from my heart!

To the Staff of Majestic Ranch!

I have the greatest joy and hope with Larry Hogue being in your capable hands.  While we learn our life changing lessons in Discovery and Focus, you are teaching our children to live these values via immersion in the principles of accountability, responsibility, integrity, respect for self, and questioning non-working choices and self-limiting beliefs.  We are fortunate to have found you and consider you as lifesavers for Larry.  And by integrating Discovery and Focus for Parents and S.O.s, you are giving us the tools to deal with our own lives and get them on track as well.  THANK YOU!

To the Staff at Majestic Ranch, Randolph , Utah
We would like to go on record by stating how greatly we appreciate Majestic Ranch and all of the staff that chooses to work with these challenging, very young kids.
Our daughter Mirinda, has been at Majestic Ranch for seven months.  She initially arrived at the ranch when she was 12 years old.  She recently turned 13 and continues to have her challenges.  It is our hope that with structure provided by the ranch, and therapy that is available nearby, she will eventually work the program and emerge as the great kid she really is.
We know that Mirinda is in skillful, knowledgeable, and loving hands.  Thanks to all of you for being with our daughter.  Without all of you, she would not have made it at all.  Now she has a good change for a new life.
Best Wishes
Bill and Kay Kirby

Dear Majestic Ranch Family,

When I chose to bring my daughter, Angie, to you, I had no doubt in my mind.   I knew absolutely [it was] the right thing.

Knowing, feeling, and trusting my heart [was] a whole different thing.  I had no idea when I did bring her to you, that one of the best parts of our lives [was] to come through this.

Through Discovery and Focus, I have found truths about me that have set me free.
I am so thankful that I met some of you and I am grateful that you are all holding her accountable for all she will become when she comes home.
I miss her so much and I know that on the other side, we will fly together as a whole and strong family.

Love,

Natalie Smith

Dear Staff at Majestic Ranch

We want to thank you for helping us save our son’s life.  It just was not working.  We needed help!  Your being there in our time of tremendous crisis gives us a beacon of hope that shines brightly in our lives.  We were lost, confused, and terrified about where our son was headed, and then to find your facility.  Talk about angels among us!!

When our son left, we were sad because we would miss him.  However, there was a deep joy, peace, and hope that maybe we found something that could save this precious, magical child.  His letters home continue our hope and serve as an affirmation that we made the right choice.

So today, you have our heartfelt thanks, praise, and commitment.  We will stand committed to participate in the process of becoming a better family and better individuals!

Sincerely,

Deb Lanham

To:  Majestic Ranch

I would love to take the opportunity to thank you so very much.  It was not easy to leave my daughter at Majestic Ranch because all of you were total strangers to me.  The tour was great.  Tammy, the director, made us feel quite at ease.  I am grateful to have been received so openly and compassionately.  It made the transition a little bit easier.  As time has gone by, Tori, our representative, has continued to ease our feelings.  I feel that my daughter is in very safe, capable, caring hands.  I would like to take the opportunity to thank all of the staff for all of their help in assisting our daughter at Majestic Ranch.

Sincerely yours,

To:  Majestic Ranch Staff:

I greatly appreciate your assistance with my daughter Nicole.  You are all being a great help to our family by your effort there.  There is a large burden on our family at this time, and you are enabling us to get the help we need.  By working with Nicole, in showing her that she is loved by us, keeping her safe, and training her in the ways of self-awareness, you allow us a chance to learn about how we can help ourselves understand what we need to change in our lives.  These changes will help us in creating a better life for Nicole when she chooses to return home.

    I thank you very much.

Not only do I see amazing progress and growth in my son Evan, who has been at your school approximately ten weeks, [but] I have also experienced incredible healing, awareness, and a rebirth in my family!!!

The entire process, which includes family members attending seminars, is so powerful and insightful that this has truly changed my life and that of my entire family.

Dear Majestic Ranch Miracle Workers, Guardians, Guide, and Plain out Saints:
This is a letter of gratitude to you, for having the heart, the courage, the passion and commitment to become part of the ever-growing “village” it takes to care for our child.  You are much more than just an experience for our family.  You are saving the life of our child, and changing all our lives.  With you and through [you], our child sees others being salvaged and saved.  He will learn that life is precious, and adults don’t have to be family to care.  He will also see some children who appear not to want to make it, and the lessons they create, the walls they put [up] that make it hard, and he will see the strength and compassion in all your eyes as you work to save hearts and lives.  Through all this, he will also see joy because you cannot be in the powerful, life-changing positions you have chosen, without the joy that comes to us when change is accomplished, and another child is saved.
I may not know you personally, but I know you through the “eyes” and “heart” of the seminars, and the facilitators, and I am grateful you have chosen to be who you really are, and take on our children.  You must have incredible strength.

With deepest gratitude,

Terri Snow

To all Staff in Majestic Ranch:

Nothing in language can mean enough for what all of you done for my son.  God bless all of you for everything you work on those children who has not know[n] which road in life to take.  Your patient, your hard working, your firm…to guide them.  We so lucky to know your school exist.  Honestly, I don’t know what to do when my son turn to be what he is—worry, afraid, fear…to see my son have no future.  I knew you [were] with me all the way to help me help my son become better.  What I do without you…not just helping my son, you help me too to see, to open, to look at myself what I did to turn my son this way.  Really appreciated all staff.  Thanks God for knowing school.

Dear Staff of Majestic Ranch,
I believe I get to tell my family rep, Tori Jones, how much I appreciate her being involved with our family in helping Evan our son.  But I’ve never expressed to the kitchen staff how much Evan likes the food there.  He has talked about different meals at least five times in his letters.

I have never expressed my appreciation to the man that took Evan outside one evening to hear the coyotes howl.  Or the people that took Evan to herd sheep and allowed him to ride on a horse.  I have never thanked the staff that took care of Evan when he was sick and had to miss Discovery.  I have never thanked the administrative staff when I have called twice for being so kind to me and following up by calling me back to let me know they didn’t have an answer to my question yet but they were working on it.

I have never thanked Wayne or Joyce for firmly and lovingly taking my son away from his father while he was raging and putting him in a safe place for the night.

Thank you all for caring enough to be a part of my son’s healing and care.

Warmest Regards,

Nancy Ekholm
