Mom and I

By Rosa Giles

Goodbye dear

Goodbye mom.

Then when she left

I felt bad.  I thought I would

Lose her, my Mom.

I am here at the Ranch, homesick

And want to go home.  I feel I am

Alone.  I have not been far away from home.

This is my first time.  I will work my

Program so I can go home.  I love her

Very much.  My dear Mother.

Dancing thru Magic

By Daniela Dimmitt

Dancing thru magic is what you have to do,

Dancing thru magic will make your dreams come true.

My  heart is beating fast,

Cause you’re here at last

With me.

Just a glass of water shows our love tonight

And tonight we are together

And the moon is shining bright

And our love for each other

Will last for the rest of our lives.

Dancing thru magic will make your dreams come true.

Dancing thru magic was meant for me and you.

A Couple of Words

By Laura Herrara

I have a couple of words to say

Before I say goodbye,

I wanna say you were the one.

I won’t forget

Your big bright smile.

I’ll miss your hugs

That brought me up

When I was down.

You made me smile,

You made me laugh.

You made me learn what love was all about.

Even though we are separated

My love for you will never end.

Those were the couple of words I had to say

Before I say my last goodbye.

As time moves on

I have to go

So now my love

This is my last goodbye.

When That Day Came

By Dakota Queen

When that day came

I thought I would cry.

When that day came

I thought I would die.

When that day came

I thought you would sit by my side

When that day came

I thought I would die.

And that’s why I died.

Untitled

By Jessica Driscoll

Winter gleam

Summer beam.

How I love you dearly.

I Am Cool

By Kaitlyn Barker

I am cool

        Cool

              Cool.

I never thought that I could

Be.  I learned a lot from experience.

I learned to see from my heart and not my head.

I am my own magical child and nobody can

Take it away from me.

I am cool

        Cool

              Cool

And I love me.

Friends Forever

By Nicole Rawson

(For BN and Ashleig S)

As a little girl friends

Were someone who would

Play dress up with you.

All the fun and love it all seemed so

True.  Looking at life through

Innocent eyes, sharing hopes and

Dreams.  Caring for each other

Or as it seemed.  Then U got

Older, friends become more

Valuable, secrets and troubles you

Become more loveable.

There are so many words

You could not say.  You thought

You’d look stupid or even gay.

Over the weeks friends spend

Together and the fights, you got

Over the friendship and love grew

Greater.  So I have to say

This is my friend, through tears and laughs

Mountains or valleys, the feelings inside

It will always stay, were friends forever

And that’s all I have to say.

My Love For My Mom

By Ashanay Riddick

I did not believe

My mom when

She sent me here

I thought she

Gave up on me

But now I see

She only wanted

The best for me.

I will be the

Best I can be

Not just for

Her but for

Me.

Month of May

By Miranda Kirby

I think of you everyday

Last time I saw you

Was in the month of May.

I remember that day

You took me to you

And whispered in my ear

That where ever I went

You would always be near.

You always protected me

From all of my fears

You’re like my miracle

In the month of May

And when I say this I really do mean it.

I think of you everyday

Last time I saw you

Was in the month of May

I’ll never forget you in anyway

You’re like my miracle

In the month of May.

The Little Boy

By Heather Jackson

(Dedicated to my little brother Eddie)

Though people surround me

And show love and joy,

I can’t help but think

Of that sweet little boy.

Tears fill my eyes

As I realize I’m gone.

I feel my heart break

As I look at the dawn.

I fall to my knees

And I am beginning to weep.

I feel so guilty,

I feel so cheap.

I imagine his face

I focus so hard.

I remember his smile

So I’ll send him a card.

I remember the frogs

The big slimy bugs

And the little cute hugs.

I remember the skill,

His adventurous acts.

His cute little crush,

And his stubborn little facts.

But just so he knows,

How I feel in my heart,

I’ll say that I Love You

And pray after dark.
